Infinite Health: Acupuncture and Massage Therapy
At Infinite Health, Eastern and Western disciplines are combined to approach health holistically through acupuncture and massage therapy.
Treating Musculoskeletal Conditions and Managing Pain
There are hundreds of different reasons that people seek holistic therapy that arise from discomfort in the body. These can be summarised into two broad categories: those that develop chronically over time due to lifestyle and repetitive actions, and those that are as a result of an acute event or injury. Typically clients seek help for:
- Lower back pain
- Neck pain
- Golfers elbow
- Tennis elbow
- Shoulder pain
- Plantar fasciitis
- Menstrual cramps
Yvonne uses Traditional and Classical Chinese Medicine, range of movement tests, palpation, massage, and massage releases to assess potential muscle imbalances. Yvonne treats chronic pain; postural issues; work, and sports-related injuries. She uses treatment methods in combination, including: massage; acupuncture; cupping; LED/light therapy; sound therapy; and essential oils.
Physical manifestations of poor mental health
As a society we are becoming more aware of the importance of mental health on a person’s enjoyment of life. Often, poor mental health can manifest itself as symptoms in the body. As with physical injuries, the underlying causes need to be diagnosed. There may be several small issues which interplay and can result in a feeling of discontentment or a person feeling ‘stuck’.
Yvonne’s treatments help to ‘move’ stagnation and help you get back into the flow of life. Treatments may include: body and ear acupuncture; aromatherapy; LED/Light therapy; and sound therapy. Note: for clinical depression, please seek advice from your GP in the first instance.
Maintaining physical, emotional, and spiritual health is key to a person being able to operate at their full potential. Separate to any musculoskeletal problems, low-grade issues may creep in over the months and years and for the individual, what appears to be ‘normal’ is actually the culmination of chronic issues.
These may include:
- Trouble with sleep (too much or too little)
- Low energy/fatigue
- Circulatory issues
- Poor immunity
- Post-surgical recovery taking a long time
Yvonne treats these with massage; acupuncture; cupping; essential oils; light and sound therapy.
